Welcome
"It matters not whether medicine is old or new, so long as it brings about a cure.
It matters not whether theories are Eastern or Western, so long as they prove to be true."
~Jen-Hsu Lin
In keeping with that philosophy, Dr. Cindy West's Alternative Veterinary Medicine Clinic will be open soon (that's her new clinic in the picture at the top of the page). In the meantime, she can treat your pet now at Winter Animal Hospital.
Dr. West employs her 21 years of Western medicine experience to offer integrated treatment options. The techniques of acupuncture, herbology and nutrition therapy can be applied exclusively, but the best results are often achieved when they are integrated with conventional treatment as recommended by your regular veterinarian.

Meet Biggie Rat and his Henchmen
AKA 'Georgia Gothic'
The three dogs in the picture are a few of Dr. Cindy West's 'kids'. All were rejected for one
reason or another but now enjoy life together on the farm.
The name of the little dog in the middle is 'Biscuit'. The black dog's name is 'Flop Ear Dog' (or "Flop" for short) and the Golden Retriever is 'Dakota'
'Flop' showed up 2 years ago while Dr. West was having her house built, and is now the farm 'guard' dog.
The story behind the picture title you ask???
This picture had been posted on a forum when someone commented that they 'didn't know you could take a rat to the groomer' in 'apparent' reference to Biscuit's physical appearance. The posted response was that they should 'be careful' as Biggie Rat had hired thugs. Seriously now, what is not to love about this menagerie. As noted by Dr. West, they are her greatest joy.
